Social media nowadays, plays a humongous role in popularizing a product. Therefore, keeping in consideration the target audience, one must carefully choose the social media they want to advertise on and the kind of audience they want to appeal to. The owner’s e-commerce site should have a link option with the popular social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
6. Not taking feedback
It is very important for a seller to take a feedback of the customer regarding the product. Once the product is delivered, it is not the end of the job. The seller needs to have a perpetual relationship with the customer. The customers should be sent mails regarding promotions, offers, vouchers, etc. to gain the confidence of the customers and make them feel important. One should abide by the policy “customer is the king”.

A complicated and confusing site navigation can discourage the customer from buying a product. The site should be easily accessible and not show too many confusing options which may tend to frustrate the customer. Moreover, the site should be upgraded from time to time to keep up with the trend.
8. Insufficient search capability
The customer should be able to find the product that they are looking for, using a few keywords. Finding a product should be a hassle free process.
9. Lack of market information
One should be aware of their competitors, their shares, the kind of product that they are selling and what makes you unique from them.
10. Lack of advertising
The seller should be well aware of the advertising methods that would appeal to his target audience. Less publicity would mean less demand. Therefore, one must be aware of the method through which they choose to reach out to their customers.
